The best laid plans of mice and... well, anybody, really.
We've all had it happen to us, right? You were working on a project and something came up so that you had to put it aside for a week or two. Then before you could get started on that project again, something else intruded and you aren't sure when you'll be able to get back to that project.
In the first half of April, I was re-formatting a number of our ebooks so that they would look nicer. More professional. How hard could that be? Well, unfortunately, it was not as easy as it sounded. When I checked the final formatting, every one of them had something wrong with it, and I was going on vacation and couldn't spare the time to get them fixed before I had to leave. Bummer!
I did take a number of them with me on a thumb drive so I could work on them, but we packed the Apple laptop and not the Lenovo. The Apple doesn't have Word on it, so I couldn't work on them after all. Double Bummer!
As we were driving home from our vacation, Hubby complained of a sore throat. By the time we got settled in at home, I had a sore throat, too. Turns out we both had come down with covid. Triple Bummer!
So that project is on a back burner. Formatting a manuscript isn't a difficult job, but you do need a clear head to do it. I'm pretty sure my head could be a lot clearer. With luck, this is a mild case and I should be able to get to work on them in another week.
