MoonPhrazes - January 2022

Well! Remind me not to let myself get caught in THAT situation again!

I had set a goal to publish 4 book in 2021, and somehow that meant I found myself at the 4th quarter of the year with 2 more books to publish. And then both books had technical difficulties with the cover art and layout, and neither of them got done by the end of the year. They are both scheduled to be published on Jan 15, 2022 now, but I am still waiting for the covers. I've got 10 days before I have to reschedule one or both to a later date.

John told me, "You got your stuff done on time. It's the artists that failed you." Well, yes, but still... I'm the publisher, so I'm ultimately to blame.

But, lesson learned. I've already got deadlines figured out for 2022's publishing goals, I won't be waiting so long to order the covers, and if I meet my various deadlines throughout the year, I won't have 2 books coming due at the same time.

The Humans wanted to know how the Lankmerans managed to avoid war throughout their history. Another race appears on Lankmere and begins killing everybody. Without weapons, the Lankmerans are helpless. If the humans can't protect them, they'll all be killed. And Earth may be the next target for genocide!

Ondrea was sent to Morris Valley to study the local wolves, which were reported to be unusual. But her host, Barry Morris, won't let her out of the house without a heavily armed hunting party. Morris has plans for Ondrea. So do the wolves.

You never really know what she's going to write about, because she's always looking for new stuff.

We are shooting for a publication date of November 30, but the cover is not quite ready, it's still getting a few tweaks.   At Long Last...   My 15-year-old CPU (computer) went on the fritz last weekend and spent the week in the shop. So even though the new MoonPhaze website went live on Monday or Tuesday, I could not make an announcement. That's one draw-back of having your computer remember all your passwords for you.
